I heard some people use either moose or gel before using a hair straightner. Does this work like heat protection? or what does it do?Gel and Hair iron?....?
no i dont think it works the same i use it after so my hair doesnt curl or anything. i doubt it would protect against the heat, you should use regular heat protector for that. i wouldnt reccomend using the gel either. it might make your hair a stiff straight :)Gel and Hair iron?....?
Only some gels actually protect your hair from the heat...
They will say specifically on the bottle.
It is best to use a heat-protective gel when you straighten your hair, because otherwise your hair will eventually become damaged. Also, it protects the hair from completely burning.
Try Redken straight 05--that's what I use!
