First, you didn't say what you want the product to do? But, if you try Mousse instead of gel, that might work.

Hair styling products???

I'm looking to style my hair with a product that won't give that wet clumped look like Gel does, i want it to look naturally styled and dry but strong enough so my hair doesn't hang on my forehead as i can't stand it.

Thanks all.Hair styling products???
Hi there

Have you tried tigi products?

They are fab!! not only will they give you all day hold but most of the products can also be brushed out!

Another fab product that my partner uses is D.F.I b y american crew- Its has a lovely smell and his hair syays put but without the stick hard feeling most waxes tend to do

Hope this helps xxHair styling products???
One word: Pomade. There are many different kinds. Look at the link for some of them...
try a gell wax look for a matt finish one it will hold your hair with a dry look and wont be clumpy unless you style it that way.. just be carefull with how much you use... good luck ..

  • My avatar's hair style/product?

    Hey guys;

How would I go about getting hair like my avatar? What would I ask for at a salon? Also, what could I use to style it? I hate the wet, greasy look of gel...My avatar's hair style/product?
Well it shouldn't be too hard since it's very common. It's best to find a picture to print and show to your stylist, but if not, it seems to be a bout 2 inches in length around the fringe and top, but the sides seem to shorten gradually. To style it, use hair clay or molding putty if you don't like gel.My avatar's hair style/product?
just print the page that your avatar is on and give it to the salon and see it they can do things from there or look at magazines and stuff to see if other people got that same hair style.
    MOOSE?

    GEL?

ask for a choppy/messy but smooth sort of look (confused u?lol) and maybe kinda describe what look u want. dont like gel? try surf wax. just go easy on it tho. dont want a look that looks like u've used glue

Does anybody know a good hair style product ??

ive tryed everything on my hair like mouse, straightning balm, wax, and it dont seam to stay up ? i like my hair quite messy but straight, like they do on the adverts for vo5 i think thats the ad anyway.i got short thick wavy hair so its quite hard to manage...any advice would be great thanxDoes anybody know a good hair style product ??
My hair is thick and wavy too. It's really hard to find something to control the unruly hair. I find that salon products make all the difference. I know that are expensive but in the long run it is work it. I really enjoy the Matrix line, I use the Color.Smart line. If you are looking for straighter hair Sleek Look is a great line by them. I also suggest investing in a really good hair straightner, like one from a salon quality store or Sally's beauty supply. Good luck.Does anybody know a good hair style product ??

What hair style product is this person using?

I kinda want to grow out my hair like this... or maybe shorter but im trying to figure out what this person is using on his hair. Is it just hair spray? or a type of hair wax... or what! His hair looks really soft and not hard n shiny like wax or gel.... what could it be?

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/mskenshin/how.jpgWhat hair style product is this person using?
That looks like it is a combination of products and techniques. Probably a styling creme followed by blow-drying with a round brush, then a flattening iron, finished with a dryer wax product (like sumo tech by bumble and bumble) and spray. This style probably works best if your hair isn't too thick.

How to purposely get greasy hair or alternative hair style product?

i actually like the way my hair looks when i dont do anything with it and its greasy looking. it just sits perfectly and looks good on me. my hair looks alot like my avatar and everytime i use defining cream and style it, my hair would be hard and the ends would poke my head and it annoys the crap out of me. so how do i purposely get greasy hair or is there a style product that isnt really stiff at all but kind of hards it in place?

thanks aheadHow to purposely get greasy hair or alternative hair style product?
Either Sexy Hair Play Dirty spray wax or Sexy Hair Slept In texture cream. If you stop by a Trade Secret/Beauty Express or similar store, they usually have testers you can try out. The Slept In has more hold but is still pliable and re-workable, and the Play Dirty mostly just gives you that good dirty hair texture. How to purposely get greasy hair or alternative hair style product?
Don't do anything with it. You said yourself that's how you think it looks best...

so i am getting fired soon [store is shutting down, everyone gets fired.] and i figure im a teenager, im gonna blow my whole paycheck on hair products, makeup, perfume, clothes, etc. lol.

so what are some good hair products that make your hair look extra nice? anything you've used? i have stick straight, medium length, layered hair btw.

thanks =]What are some good hair styling products?
My favorite is Fekkai Glossing products. I use it for straight hair and it makes my hair shiny and healthy looking. Kinda of miracle since my hair is colortreated and heat styled daily.

It's a little high priced, but you can pick up small bottles at Bath and Body Shop, just to give it a try. Also a tube of glossing cream will last a long, long time.

HTHWhat are some good hair styling products?
well i also have very strait hair... and so i dont use hairspray or gel or anything...

i absoutly LOVE frutice products... there is the oil one in the little round bottle.. but my fav is the other spray... its not oily like the other one... it is the cheapest too... but it makes my hair shine like nothing else... its the small spray bottle and looks like just water
Paul Michael is a top line. I would go to Macy's and spend like it was a fire sale! oh and remember, Macy's will give you a added 10% off if you ask for it or apply for a Credit Card.

Yeah, I would have to say Redken. Aveda makes really good products that smell awesome and are quite soothing!! But Paul Mitchell is probably the best one from your list, because they offer products for shinier, fuller, color-treated, ect. hair. Nexxus and Matrix are OK brands.Hair styling products?

I vote Paul Mitchell. But really it's Redken, but you didn't list it.

I'm going to have to go with hair wax. Like Bed Head.

    probably hair glue..or hair gel.
my guess is gel. it looks hard and shiny, so it probably isn't mousse or a styling paste. i would try american crew firm hold gel.

Who can help me with a new hair styling product?

I'm currently using Aveda Control Paste, but to be honest, it's not as good as I remember it.

This is my hair style, but lately it's not looking as good since I bought a new tub of it!

Price is not an issue, considering the Aveda one is usually about 拢18 a pot plus.

What about the Manipulator or the Hard to Get paste?

I need help choosing out a hair styling product!? (I'm a guy)?

I have curly, short (about 1 3/4 in.), brown, dry, thick, frizzy hair. lol. I'm a swimmer so im constantly in chlorine but i do shower immediately after wards. I need help choosing a styling gel/cream/paste whatever you want to call it. I want one that's strong and will keep my hair styled throughout the day and something that doesn't look like its gel...like it doesn't get my hair all dry and crusty and shiny. It would also really help if what you recommend i can buy at Walmart (cuz its close to me hehe). THANKS!I need help choosing out a hair styling product!? (I'm a guy)?
Go to walmart and get Any of the Redken paste like materials it is not gel so it will not flake or you can try a sculpting mud by cost cutters but not evry wal mart has a cost cutters some have smart stylesI need help choosing out a hair styling product!? (I'm a guy)?
you shud use some moose.. tht always helps meh !
I suggest Fx Special Effects Molding Hair Wax or FX Special Effects Molding Wax Pliable Hair Wax,Flexible Hold. Both will style hair for an all day style, and since it's wax, it even can hold your style up through practice (at least make for easy re-style in case u miss that shower). Both are available at walmart, and both are priced reasonably. However, if I might make another suggestion. Since you are constantly around chlorine, and you state that your hair is thick, dry, and frizzy, you may want to consider using a chlorine stripping shampoo and an intense conditioning treatment. A few to look for are; Agree Swimmers Solution Shampoo and intensive acting Conditioner. They take out the chlorine, prevent the chemical damage, and refortify, condition and strengthen your hair.

Which pomade or hair styling product shall I use ? please help !?

    hi ladies and guys,

I have a question: I've tried a couple of hair products up to date and am kinda grounded because with none of them did I achieve the effect I was aiming for. Local barbers never seemed to have a broad knowledge about hair products that work for the individual. Rather, they sign a contract with a manufacturer and that they sell to you, no matter the effectiveness.

So anyway, the product I am looking for is something that a.) smells in such way that women are at least not aversed, favorably attracted, b.) does not make my hear look all greasy as though I havent washed it in days and c.) will not let a wind breeze make my hairdo all messy again, a problem I have ALWAYS encountered up to date. Anyone have a suggestion ? Top notch would be a product with which I get results like Zac Efron (sorry for referring to him, but my hair is similar) :

    http://www.zac-pictures.com/albums/Photoshoots/2007/Jesus_Aparicio_Photoshoot_HQ/009.jpg

thanks for anybody with clues.Which pomade or hair styling product shall I use ? please help !?
My boyfriend uses Redken Rewind 06 or Align 12. I can vouch for the smell. I like Bumble %26amp; Bumble for myself. Products that are geared towards men are usually available at Trade Secret, Ulta, or whichever salon/retail stores are at the mall. Some of them even have a men's section. Or, ask some of your friends (male %26amp;/or female--with hair that you like) where they get theirs done locally. Go in for a cut %26amp;/or style and let the stylist know that you need help finding the right product. Most places that aren't just affiliated with a brand (i.e. Aveda) should have a broad selection (not to knock Aveda--they have great stuff, too!). Also, you may need to heat-style a bit to get the desired effect.Which pomade or hair styling product shall I use ? please help !?
the got2be brand has some hair products for guys. one of them, i forgot the name, has pheremones, and smells good. try going to your local drugstore like walgreens or cvs, and look on the man hair care aisle. they have a real good selection. i know because i work at one.

Which hair styling product damages hair most, wax, spray, paste or gel etc? opinions are appreciated?

    hi there..

i've been styling my hair with wax or spray or gel sort of products for quite some time now.. from brands such as brylcreem, loreal, gatsby and so on...

every now and then, i would get advice from a hair stylist saying this damages ur hair more than this so dont use it and use that...

    so i was just wondering,

which damages ur hair? if they all do, which damages hair most and least? wax, spray, reshaper paste, gel etc...?Which hair styling product damages hair most, wax, spray, paste or gel etc? opinions are appreciated?
The real damage comes from removal. Hair products don't actually damage your hair as long as you wash them out regularly.

Water soluble ones like gel, spray come out easily. This is good for hair.

Wax, paste, putty, pomade etc all need quite a bit to remove and so can pull out hair which is not good.

But you are thinking it will make your hair brittle or weak; it won't as long as you take good care of your hair with shampoo's and conditioners.

If your really worried buy the strengthening conditioners and shampoo.Which hair styling product damages hair most, wax, spray, paste or gel etc? opinions are appreciated?
    it really depends

hairstylists might tell you that just so you can by the products that the hair salon has to offer

i know that if you put hairspray in your hair and then strighten it, it KILLSSS your hair like crazy

and when you take a shower, make sure to get all the products out and use a good shampoo and conditioner so your hair can get some of the benefits the shampoo has to offer and so it can regain strength back

    hope this helps!:)
I wouldnt use most of these over the counter shampoos they contain too much chemicals.

I use YES TO CARROTS and absolutely love it.

    Best hair styling product?

Ok, so I'm a guy with short - medium hair length and I want to know which hair styling product I should invest in..

I've tried quite a lot of them and right now I am using Dominate Clay.. I wake up quite early and its freezing cold in the morning in winter, it gets REALLY annoying when I try to get the clay.. I mean I have to DIG IN FOR IT and its so HARD.. And my fingers are already frozen cold.. Dominate clay isnt even that good.. It doesn't really dissolve into the hair so I have like small lumps of it in my hair every now and then and it looks like.. omg wtf is that ****... You know?

So I really want to avoid any clay or whatever until at LEAST late spring..

So does anybody know any good hair styling products?

I want Gatsby but I can't find it anywhere in New Zealand..

I've heard that Garnier Fructis is good but does anybody know a good product of theirs than you can name? I also think that the tresseme hairspray works quite well.. What about their wax or putty or whatever?

    Thx!!Best hair styling product?
im a girl so i dontg know how much help id be of but id imagine what works for girls works for boys so id recomend the Garnier long lasting fiber gum or putty it wont freeze up and if by some chance it does try putting the bottle in hot water in the morning to warm and loosen it up, V05 products work well all the drugstore products tend to work about the same. also and if all else failes a friend of mine uses just plain hot wax for his mohawk but i dk if thats the look your trying to achieve lol

    good luck

What hair styling product should i use to get these results?

i am a male and my hair is relatively short. about 1 inch top with longer bangs. When i went to get my haircut, my stylist put a product in my hair that made my top stick up but look natural. By natural i mean that it stayed up but it didn't look clumpy or slick/shiny due to the product.

it looked similar to martin of boys like girls's hair cut shown in the following picture

    http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k175/Matt_good_is_the_sex/MartinJohnson.jpg

what should i use to get my hair to stay up like that but not look greasy, clumpy, shiny, or completely stiff?

thanks a bunch! What hair styling product should i use to get these results?
possibly tigi bedhead manipulator its pricey and you can find it at kmart sometimes just don't use too much or you'll have a disaster. What hair styling product should i use to get these results?
Hair dressers use the best products and have been trained to use them. You would most likely have to buy the product from your hair dresser and it would be pricey. Also they usually use more than one product at a time.

I was wondering if there is a product which can keep hair heavy, moist, smooth and straight.

I have long hair upto my neck and right when i come out of the shower it's perfectly smooth and stays down. When it dries, it puffs up and gets all messy.

Currently I use some Pantene thingy with conditioner 2 in 1. After my hair dries it puffs up and looks bulgy pretty ugly.

sunsilk has a leave in conditioner to smooth out kinks and waves to make it straight. i dont know about the heavy and moist part, but experiment with products, you might find one that works well for YOU.

  • Good hair styling product (gel)?

I'm desperate for a good hair styling product that I can use to spike up my hair. What I'm looking for is something that can be bought at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. not something I need to go to a professional hair salon to get please.

And I'm looking for something that has similar abilities like gel but I don't want it to get solid hard when it's dried off. I want it to be flexible but not too much that if I style it again later on that it just loses the product's purpose.

Also, something that isn't too glazed? I used a cheap gel product a few years ago and everytime it dries up, it gets completely solid and glossy. If I touch it too much or move it, the gel turns white and comes off.

I currently use gatsby and crew, so I guess I'm just curious what others recommend using. 10pts to the best answer, thanks!Good hair styling product (gel)?

    Hair Styling Product 10 Points?

Okay, so I was looking online and found the Infiniti Hair Designer by Conair鈩?Hot Air Styler. Okay, so, I have thin, medium length hair that is very wavy and unmanageable. I have a crappy $20 flat iron that鈥檚 very bulky and large. I do not like it very much, but it鈥檚 the only flat iron that doesn鈥檛 damage my very fine hair. The thing is, I have 2 layers, and by the time I step outside (outside in Texas, where it gets very humid) my hair gets wavy and crazy again. I was wondering if this Infiniti product would make this problem go away, and is it easy to use?Hair Styling Product 10 Points?
    No, of course not.

It's not the iron that makes it last longer. It's you -- and your hair. You are not doing it properly. If your hair was dry, and you straightened it, it would stay that way. Yes, in very humid areas, your hair will revert to its normal structure. But Texas is not always humid.

I believe you are not drying your hair properly before trying to straighten it. You should use a blow-dryer to straighten it as much as possible, This would make the job so much easier. When it is completely and thoroughly dry, then you use the iron to straighten and smoothen the last little bit. You can use a finishing spray to keep the humidity out (hair spray only attracts dirt and water) and you will be fine.

Be sure you are doing it properly, and it will always stay straight.Hair Styling Product 10 Points?
hello what kind of plates does your iron have if you use a ceramic straightener it may yield you better results the ceramic plates help more of the water in your hair evaporate into the air so that your hair contains less moisture and the humidity doesnt affect it as fast check this link for low cost high end salon style ceramic hair straighteners like ghd and chi

    http://www.glamrockz.com/catalog/
I have heard that particular styler works well.

As far as the humidity goes, try looking for some

products that are heat serums, or thermal sprays,

that are resistant to humidity, like tressame' or Aussie.

I have really curly hair, and I find that using thin plated

straighteners give better results, and they are lightweight, and

    VERY easy to use.

I think you should scrunch it, but before doing that you should put frizz control in your hair. If you have bangs you could pin them back and make a little 'speed bump' that might help hide your roots so your hair will look less greasy. All you have to do to scrunch your hair is sleep with it in a tight bun then take it out and the morning and work some mousse into it. When all your hair is curly you put hairspray in it and then you're done.

Maybe some kind of wax, like a shockwaves thing, it can feel a bit greasy but it stays flexible and doesn't go sticky, or a clay might work. Don't use bryl cream it has a discusting texture. One more tip is, if it's short and you don't want the style to be really spiky is to use water and wet it down. OR my number one tip for a sort of surf look, get wet hair and towel dry, it goes all messy, then just smooth down and voila, that way you can spike it or just make it look nice and ';scruffed up';.GUYS..Best hair styling product for MEN?

I actually have a couple different products that I use. I use Got2Be spiking glue when I want hard spikes, because it works well and holds all day. The other product I use is a texture paste by Redkin. It works fairly well if the hair you are spiking is not very long (generally 1.5 inches or less) and doesn't make your spikes hard and crunchy, it looks very natural.Hair styling product help?

I use Bedhead/Tigi/Redken... They're all the same to be honest. But I have found that the body shops hair products are very good and leave your hair soft.

But if you're looking for good hairspray and gels CATWALK is probably the best.Hair styling products.?
styling mine - i start out by straightening it, which because its shoulder length only takes about 15 mins. then i grab my trusty comb and trusty hairspray and go at it! lots and lots and lots of teasing and lots and lost and loats of hairspray. i also have a few fave head bands that i put in so my bangs are in front of the band and straight, and the rest of my hair goes crazy behind the headband. make sure you have lots of big bows as well.

definately check out you tube for lots of clips on how they style their hair too - gives you good inside tips and actually lets you see how its done (one thing typing/reading it and another to watch/see it)

    goodluck!

    Keira knightley hair style products?

so my hair is currently to my shoulder blades, dark blonde with natural highlights, thick, and slightly wavy. Im going to be cutting my hair really short like keira knightley in this picture: http://www.totalhair.net/keira-knightley/a>

and i was wondering if anyone knew what i should do to make it look like that every morning. i dont like spending a lot of time on my hair so what styling products should i use and what should i do? i take showers at night so something i can do with dry hair would be preferableKeira knightley hair style products?
Well if you have thick and wavy hair, and you don't want to spend alot of time on it, this is NOT the cut for you. For those semi-thin, straight locks she's got in that picture, you would have to blow dry your hair and/or straighten it every time you wash yuor hair. best bet is to go with a different cut, sorry luv!Keira knightley hair style products?
uh ya, like the first person said... that style is meant for someone with thin straight hair. So it won't look like that.

gel or wax depends on wether u want a soft look (wax) or gel more of a greasy/wet look try both see which u prefer only use a pea sized amount or ur hair will go limp the less u use the better the style
A local salon will be able to point you in the right direction... or do an internet google search for an ';ethnic hair store'; in your area. Make a trip to that store %26amp; the sales rep should know exactly what you need. G'luck!

Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?

I have fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes very bad after I take a shower and dry it off. I'm a male and want to give it a weighted down look with the straight look and without the frizzes. Is there any type of hair styling product I can use to fix this? I don't want to use gel because it hardens the hair and beeswax gives it that gooey/smelly effect. Thanks.Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?
Garnai Frutis. I Have frizzy hair affter everything. It i s long, but when it frizzes it looks like I have an affro. I use the sleek and shin produscts. Shampoo, Conditioner, Affter Shower anti-frizz stuff. Try Ganai Frutis. They Woor really well for oily and hard to grow hair. Just look them up and see what they can do for you.Hair Style Product for fine, straight hair that puffs up and frizzes after showers?
There are some sprays, for this I'm not sure what brands, they are located in the same isle as the shampoos, they will say for frizz control, many women use these, but they work the same on men, one of them are (excuse spelling) Garnier nutrients, in a green round bottle, this one pumps out, you put a small ammount one the hand and work it through the hair.
Try BedHead's ';After Party';.. it just makes the hair really light and soft... It might help tame the frizz.
    1) go to a hair place and get some kind of serum

    2) buy the shampoo and conditioner called sunsilk they have a kind for every hair need
use conditioner in the shower. there are also ';leave in'; conditioners you can apply to damp hair after showering.

note to the chick who uses pantene- don't. ask your stylist, she should confirm that almost all products, and i know this sounds silly, the start with a ';P'; are bad for your hair. but i've heard this from several sources. i think it has something to do with containing silicone.
I'd look into a anti-frizz serum product -- there are many varieties available in the health %26amp; beauty section of your drug store.
i have the same kind of hair, and i always get ';fly-aways'; for my shorter strands. i got pantene anti-frizz serum. it works really well for me. it's a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it, imo.

there is actually a product by redken called aerate that is just a regular product but it is like a gel but leaves no sticky residue or product feel on the hair, i love it and would use it every day for my short hair but my school is currently sold out of it because it is so great that everyone wants it. you should be able to get it at any beauty supply store or even a salon or cosmetology school.

Wash your hair using a moisturising shampoo, then apply a moisturising treatment and leave on for 10 minutes.

Rinse off and use a moisturising conditioner.

Afterwards, apply a wet look gel throughout your hair and it will look wet for the rest of the day without being greasy. The moisturising treatment will also weigh your hair down so that it doesn't go frizzy.

    Hope that helps.

and i would use the curl creme! despite the name...it actually has the strongest most moldable hold of most of the garnier products! amazing..i know...but it really does work..plus it leaves your hair so soft when you rinse it out...it comes out very easily when washing, but lasts all day!

I've heard Bed Head has some amazing products for that, the only downside is its kind of pricey. There are some cheaper things that you can get as well, that work just as well. Back when I had semi shorter hair, I used a jar of hair cream stuff... I can't remember the name of it, but it was like a gel cream, that was really sticky, where you could put it in your hair and mess it up and have it stay that way. Hair salons carry them too, I got a container of the stuff from my local one a few years ago for like 12 dollars. What hair styling product is best for the ';just got out of bed'; look pleaseeee?
Depends on your type of hair. but almost always is water.

if straight hair, i would suggest soaking it then messing it all up. the water makes your hair hold its place.

if long curly hair, wet down, then comb all hair straight up, then randomly change direction/ flatten hair in small patches on head.
i use bed head.............. it really works i have like a years worth of it at my house!

Hey how are you I am 17 years old and I am actually in your same shoes. I washed my hair last night and I just ended up putting it in a good ponytail. So far I have been wearing it out. (It looks like one of those little kids who don't have perm, but it's still kinda cute being out) look. Wearing it half up and half down as well. I have been thinking about trying to wet it and wrap it up.

I have thought about getting a just for me type of perm just to make it more manageble (less poofy).
well i have natrual black hair/no relaxer. i wear kinky twist, roller sets or braid outs. try curlyhair.com for tips also.
Don't relax your hair. Even Just For Me relaxers are damaging and cause breakage. Your hair is healthier in it's natural state...even pressing your hair can be bad for it if you don't use a quality flat iron and heat protectant. Ask your mom if you can get your hair done at a Dominican Salon. They can make the hair super straight and silky without it becoming damaged when I go to a Dominican Salon my hair looks straighter than when I had a relaxer. You can accentuate your curls and wear it out, do twist outs, braids outs. Bedhead is really good for straightening the hair.

Straightening your hair wont make it stronger necessarily. Just do hot oil treatments weekly, massage your scalp, and take hair vitamins.

What's the best hair styling product to make my hair look messy/choppy?

It depends on the length of your hair, but I've always used Redken Rewind. Just rub it in your hands until it looks like a spiderweb when you pull your hands apart. It's really sticky. Take a small amount from your palms onto your fingertips and just shake your hands through your hair randomly, then pull at the ends to make it look chunky %26amp; pieced out. A wax based product would work better than a gel. Good luck! What's the best hair styling product to make my hair look messy/choppy?

Best hair styling product for someone with thick, straight hair?

I like Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum. It helps smoothe the ends, and actually reduces the diameter of the individual hairshaft (withouth sacrificing too much volume), and that reduces drying time. Just smoothe it on before you blowdry, and it makes your hair REALLY shiny! I also like Redken Satinwear for the same reason. Frederic Fekkai Glossing Creme helps with fly-aways and ends.

I just recently bought new stuff that is awesome! Its called Wash %26amp; Wear from Frederic Fekkai, you spray it in, and it ';washes'; your hair without actually washing. Your hair smells better and feels cleaner immediately! Definitely worth a try if you're into saving time with all that thick hair! ;) Good luck!Best hair styling product for someone with thick, straight hair?

  • Which hair styling product should I get: Joico Spiker or Short Sexy Hard Up Gel?

I have short thick straight hair about 1.5 inchesWhich hair styling product should I get: Joico Spiker or Short Sexy Hard Up Gel?
I much prefer Joico's products over the Sexy Hair Concepts line.

As for the Joico Spiker, it really depends on what the look you're going for is. If you want spikes without flexibility or memory styling, Joico Spiker is for you. I'm not much for gel, and the Short Sexy Hard Up Gel is definitely a gel! It will make the hair hard, and also does not have memory styling. The Joico Spiker will not make it look as hard and doesn't give the gel appearance.

Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy their Dry Spray Wax, and their Pliable Paste. Both of these are from the design collection (I will include links to tutorials on these products on YouTube).

    Hope this helps!

    First you need:

    1) Hair Dryer

    2) Straighteners (GHD's if you've got the money)

    3) Good quality brush

The products you use after the above is:

    1) ';Bed Head Shine Adrenaline'; (Must apply to hair before straighteners for a shiny look)

    2) ';Bed Head Manipulator'; (Sticky Gum for that surfer look. Apply lightly picking at the hair)

    3) ';Bed Head Hard To Get'; (Pasty Wax for the hair to stay in position without the heavyness that normal gels perform)Hi i want to know what hair styling product i should use to get my hair like the drummer of mcfly?

Need hair styling product that leaves hair toucable?

I have fine hair and can't seem to find a product that leaves hair toucable soft and not greasy or cruchy/shaleked. Any Ideas on what to use? and how best to use it?Need hair styling product that leaves hair toucable?
try a shine serum like john freda, only use alittle since your hair is fine, also try john freda secret weapon on dry hair. works wonders.Need hair styling product that leaves hair toucable?
    If you put the product into wet hair it will be more ';touchable';
i have just bought this serum from Schwartzkopf. it amazing. you apply it on wet hair for the best results. it is a little pink tube like bottle. it gives you fabulous results. it is lightweight, leaves hair soft and silky and ''touchable''. and no frizz! it is only about less than 拢2!! try it!

    hope that helped! good luck!
Try ';Headrush'; by Bed Head. I use it (because I straighten my hair everyday) and it makes it softer and shinier. You can also try the manipulator by Bed Head. But if you put too much of it in your hair, it makes it look kinda greasy so watch how much you put in it.

What is the best hair styling product for men with medium length hair?

personally for men my new favorite is spray wax, you have to be careful though many brands tend to leave a oily residue but it is very pliable and doesn't flake through the day

What hair styling product should i use?

Hi my hair is medium length and is fairly thick, i don't want to spike it but i do want a flat style though, i'm looking for something that will keep my hair in shape and keep it soft at the same time, one with conditioner will be nice but if it doesn't then it doesn't matter as long as its good :D thank you in advance for any responses :)What hair styling product should i use?

Which hair styling product is the best?

i currently use gel but it always seems to set like concrete. Anyone got any ideas?Which hair styling product is the best?
Kind of depends on what look you are going for. If you have lots of layers and want some kind of definition, a pomade is really good. I like either Garnier Fructise or Bed Head. They make different one depending on the look you are going for and the texture of your hair (is it thick, fine, straight, curly, etc).

I also like to use a spray gel, like Garnier Fructise. You still get the effect of the gel, but you don't get as much as if you were to put a blob of gel in your hands so you don't get the concrete like feeling.

Also, a mousse is good to get the definition and texture without the concrete feeling of gel.

Hope this helps!Which hair styling product is the best?
mousse is a gd product 2 use after ur hair is damp scrunch or mess ur hair up using some and voila it looks gd and doesn't go hard.

i have straight hair but when i curl it with a curling iron what keeps my hair in tact would be nexxus, paul mitchell, john freida..other cheaper alternatives are pantene, tresseme and garnier...my room mate has curly hair(naturally) and she uses garnier and her hair looks wonderful...

the finishing spray works, same with the mouse, the shine serum also is good, and and the use a hydrating product to make your hair soft or something to make it shiny...i would still reccomend nexxus even though it is expensive but that is my splurge once in a while..other than that if you are on a budget choose the cheaper version..
don't use hair mouse it f**ks ur hair up use a hair serum and a leave in hair conditioner aall so google ';ojan';there stuff is amazing!i have curly hair to and this works plus get ur hair trimmed every 6 weeks to keep it in good condition x

I use a little bit of Garnier Fructis Hard Curl curling gel, and got2b all night hairspray. Just a little bit holds in for as long as I need it 2! :) Oh! but I use that with rollers or curlers. With a curling Iron just the hairspray!

If that isn't working, use Fioravanti Anti Frizz Silkening Shampoo (sold at Sephora). • What's a good hair styling product (not gel) to shape curly/wavy men's hair?

My hair is weird. It's curly, but until it gets long enough to be curly, it sticks straight up. It usually has to get about 3 inches to get really curly so I'm not talking kinky tight small curls. Anyway, I've always used gel (quite a lot of it at once), but I hate having that wet stiff look all day. I tried mousse before, but same thing...too stiff and I had to use a lot. I don't know what to try. Help please. What's a good hair styling product (not gel) to shape curly/wavy men's hair?
you could try pomade but it doesnt dry and always looks wet. Also try deep conditioning your hair and it might make it softer and lay down. Put a hat on while your hair drys maybe? Thats what i used to do.What's a good hair styling product (not gel) to shape curly/wavy men's hair?
Try a light hairspray or perhaps a wax that you apply with your fingertips. Also, you may have been trying the wrong mousse. There are many different types.

Which is the best hair styling product and how can hair loss be prevented?

Concerning hair styling, ther is a product called klaxon serum, try it out and to prevent hair loss, simply make a paste of watercress in a mixer and apply!!!Which is the best hair styling product and how can hair loss be prevented?
Nexxus makes a shampoo called Biotin shampoo that is specifically for thinning hair. There is also a leave in cream that you rub in your scalp. You can purchase these from a salon.Which is the best hair styling product and how can hair loss be prevented?
I prefferr Tresseme Products myself, but I have no hairloss issues. I believe that hairloss is mostly a genetic trait. But, illness and some poisonous chemicals can cause it also. Finding the root of the problem with a physical would be the best first step.If hairloss is a major concern, or occurring rapidly, I would definately see a doctor and get your blood tested for toxins.
use baby shampoo. ultra gentle, and cheap. avoid too much hair gel on your hair. it makes your hair thinner because of the chemicals. stick to the basics. keep your hair clean to avoid dandruff.
just use coconut oil dat helps ur hair shiny, smooth and impressive to look , juz be simple enough, f i wer u just b peacefully happy and satisfied with the way things are or with what has been done by our Creator, aja aja fighting, goodluck
The answer to your first question depends upon two factors:

    1) The type of hair you have (texture, length, etc)

    2) What sort of style you want to acheive

Other things to consider would be how often you actually style your hair, and how much money you are comfortable spending for hair product, not to mention how much time you are willing to spend styling your hair.

There are all sorts of products, each with various amounts of hold, and each better suited for a certain type of hair. It's also worth noting that there is not a ';standardized system'; for denoting ';holding power'; for products- in other words, one brand may rate its product with ';extra hold';, and it may not have any effect toward styling your hair, while another brand may simply say ';light hold'; and it may make your hair feel like glue.

I stay away from gels, because when they dry, they make my hair feel hard and brittle. This can be avoided by blow drying, but my hair is very thick, so blow drying adds too much volume and I look as if I have a chia pet on my head.

Pomades and waxes are excellent products- they stay pliable all day long, and you can achieve a variety of styles with them. The best thing to do is experiment or ask someone in a salon for assistance. Keep in mind most stylists earn a commission from what they sell, so they may initially try to sell you something uber expensive.

I would recommend Redken Rewind- it has moderate holding power, and a large container is usually around 14-20 dollars.

As for your second question- hair loss is genetic. You're going to lose it or you're going to keep it.

There are options available (propecia, rogaine, etc,) but they can be costly and since they are relatively new (less than 30 years old) the effects on the human body taking them over a lifetime have not been measured.
any brand that are popular and to prevent hair loss just massage your scalp every time your in the bathroom while shampooing your hair and see the results................................

Has anyone experienced hair loss from the new AXE hair styling products?

I was visiting my friend in D.C. and we both decided to try the new AXE styling products at the same time. I saw it worked so well on him that I bought it the very next day. I left later that week and used it for about a month and a half. Over that period of time I began to notice hairs began to fall out at my desk. Not one or two, but every time I put my hand in my hair they would come out in 10s, 20s. I came back to visit my friend after a month and he noticed the same thing. I was suspicious that it was the product, but not completely sure that a trusted company would have released that. We were about to go out, and I asked him If he had any gel. He said that he still had the axe ';but I think';. I read his mind. Its making your hair fall out right!!! I felt so relieved that it was the product and not mother nature..... His hair had significantly receded and reduced, worse than mine. He said he had to wear his hair down. Has anyone else experienced this??????Has anyone experienced hair loss from the new AXE hair styling products?
i had read about that problem! it happened not only to you and your friend!

    dont use AXE!

hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few. but anyway you can always try and get real results.

year ago I suffered from hair loss and since hair loss is hereditary my dad suffered from it too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss. the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also you should use some herbal treatment.in that case Provillus is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Provillus but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.provillus.com/?aid=749165

good luck!Has anyone experienced hair loss from the new AXE hair styling products?
The reason behind the hair loss is simple. Products like that are filled with plastics, and they really are not good for your scalp. The plastics and waxes in the product build up on your scalp and plug your follicles. Its almost like getting a pimple in your hair follicle. Stop using the products you by at the grocery store, find a salon in your area and get a styling gel from either, Nioxin or Brocato, neither of the brands have build up ingredients in them.

    Hope this helped.

What is a really good quality shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products?

Right now I'm using Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner. I use Garnier Fructis styling products as well. Both the shampoo and conditioner and styling products makes my hair soft and shiny and everything, but I want to try out something else to see if it's better.

I heard that stuff like Pantene Pro-V is bad for your hair because of the silicone in it, so I don't want anything like that.

What's a really good brand of hair products that offer shampoo, conditioner, styling products, you know.... like everything! I don't know why but I like sticking to one brand of things, so the head and shoulders and garnier fructis thing bothers me a little haha.

This might help with you answering this question: I usually style my hair straight, so something that maybe protects against head or adds moisture to hair? Also, something that enhances ceramic performance and adds shine. Is there anything I can get like this at CVS or grocery stores for a fairly cheep price?

Thanks so much! =)What is a really good quality shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products?
    Aussie or Redken .

If you want a generic brand the best one I've ever used is ';Hello Hydration'; by Herbal Essences. The Shampoo is gentle and the Conditioner makes your hair feel so soft (and smell AMAZING too).

DON'T USE HEAD AND SHOULDERS SHAMPOO. It's not pH balanced and contains a lot of drying ingredients, unless you have dandruff you don't need it.

A good salon brand is Purology, or Matrix. I love them both and have always had great results with them.

hmm that's my favorites I think
oh that is really not true what you just wrote about a pantene pro-v. when i read your question i was about to suggest u for pantene pro-v. out of all the products that ive used ive felt the huge difference, and very satisfied with pantene. my hair is frizzy and color treated and i used garnier , head and shoulder , non of them worked. my hair is getting better by pantene. it gives shine and a silkiness. i use pantene shampoo and a conditioner; it makes softer and i just got this pantene hair cream and i feel very good with the product, a 2 days ago i bought this hair cream triple moisture. it disappointed me. it just disappear no matter how much u put on your hair, i hate it. the pantene is cheaper too, the cream just cost me 5$. and i think you shouldnt straighten your hair everyday. i have the same problem as yours. i cant find the cream that protects my hair. nothing can protect from heat so its better not to. i just got this new idea. i washed my hair with the product and applied some pantene hair cream in the damp hair and i used a wrap, snap and go; a kind of roller that i got in 10$. just leave it for 5 or 10 minutes no more than that. u can walk with nice curly hair. youll save your time and also wont damage your hair. hope i helped you.

Can I use hair wax or other hair styling products with the Garnier fructis sleek & shine system?

    Hi ^ ^

I just started using the sleek %26amp; shine system (the whole line), and so far it's working well for me. I was wondering if I can use hair styling products with it like Taft hair wax or gel or stuff like that, especially after the leave in conditioner. I wanted to ask first 'cause I don't wanna mess up my hair, and I've a feeling that it's not a good idea to use stuff like that with it.

So opinions, and ideas would be appreciated, and if it's from people who have tried it then all the better.

    Thanks in advance ^ ^.

Have a nice day :)!Can I use hair wax or other hair styling products with the Garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine system?
You should be fine mixing them together. I have been mixing products for years. I never use only one or just one brand. The leave in conditioner makes your hair kind of hard right? I also have the sleek %26amp; shine fortying cream conditioner and shampoo. I have the Leave in conditioner too , but I don't really like it. It coagulates (forms clumps) with some of the products that I use. So it does not mix well with everything. As long as it mixes well together then you should be fine. I don't know if your hair is naturally ';dry'; like mine, but if it is you have nothing to worry about.

    Good luck!

  • Can you Recommend A Great Product To Remove Hair Styling Product Buildup?

I need a product that I can purchase to remove build up of mouse, hairspray, etc.

I need something similiar to a Malibu Treatment you can get at the salon, I just want something I can buy and do myself. Thanks. Can you Recommend A Great Product To Remove Hair Styling Product Buildup?
Actually, washing your hair with baking soda will take care of any build up. Just wet your hair down, pour a good amount of baking soda in your hands, and work it into your hair and scalp the best you can. Then rinse. It's as easy as that :) You can also try apple cider vinegar. Takes care of any build up that might be there. :) The vinegar will also help make your hair shiny! Can you Recommend A Great Product To Remove Hair Styling Product Buildup?
Try a clarifying shampoo and conditioner....they are supposed to help with build up. Many stores sell them.
i find neutrogena shampoo works pretty well
    RedKen Clarifying shampoo and conditioner.
im a hairstylist so i can recommend a few things. as 4 store bought, suave has a great clarifying shampoo.

a good homemade remedy is lemon juice squeezed on the hair after shampooing and combed thru. leave on about 3-5 mins then rinse. style as usual. do this about 2 times a mo.

also u should have at least 2 kinds of shampoo becuz 1 tends to start building up.
Pantene Clarifying Shampoo works like a charm (be sure to condition afterwards)!

Which hair styling product should I use?

I'm a guy with short hair. I need something that leaves my hair looking dry (not wet and greasy), and I don't like products that make your hair hard and crunchy. In short, you shouldn't be able to tell that there's anything in my hair. Also, I live in Vancouver, so I need something that would stand up to strong winds. Any suggestions?Which hair styling product should I use?
Sebastian Crude Clay or Twisted Taffy works excellent for the matte look %26amp; hold well but not so well that your hair is crunchy. Only thing is, it's kinda hard to wash out unless you use a chelating shampoo.

It is a bit hard to use at first but what I do is warm up a pea size in my hand %26amp; warm up the product in my palms until its evenly spread, spritz a bit of water on my hands %26amp; gently ruffle the hair up to apply it evenly. You can even scrunch the hair a bit %26amp; it is absolutely movable!Which hair styling product should I use?
Got 2 be sport gels maybe

for my hair its sticky feeling on my hair [because its long, and fine]

when its in wet hair it feels sticky but if you let your hair dry it isnt sticky at all [just makes my hair feel thicker.. and hold shape] but yeah also doesnt smell pretty theres stuff especially for guys

Will any of the following hair styling products damage my hair?

Hey I am college guy who has hair down to the eyebrows,(the length of the hair is the same all over, back, sides, etc.) and I like to slick it back, at times getting a sort of but not quite like a pompadour . I don't like using gel any more because it flakes and liquefies with sweat.

By the way, I am really intrigued by the 1920-50's males hairstyles.

I was considering using hair wax, vaseline, or brilliantine.

i think i will not have a problem using them since i shower daily.

    the questions are,

    1. will using , or brilliantine damage my scalp?

    2. will using any of the above cause baldness?

    3. will using any of the above cause pimples?

and finally, which would you recommend? Will any of the following hair styling products damage my hair?
    1) It doesn't it protects it

    2) NO

    3) It will not cause pimples depending on how you use it

    4) i recommend hair waxWill any of the following hair styling products damage my hair?
Vaseline and brilliantine would probably cause pimples. Hair wax is your best bet.
Your hair plan sounds hot. I approve.

I recommend wax or brilliantine [though I have no idea what that is! Anything but Vaseline, because I imagine this would block hair follicles with grease and come off on anyone unlucky enough to come into contact with said hair. Would look cool though, I suppose!

I'm going to a 1920's themed party tomorrow, and am going to be attempting something with hair wax called 'finger waves'. Here's to wishing us both luck!
NEVER use vasaline in your hair!!!!!!!!!!

it is REALLY hard to get out!!!!!

    - i warned you

    have a nice life

I use a lot of hair styling products. Am I overdoing it?

I change my hair style every month or so. I went bald, spikes, long length, short, beach look, etc. I just got a fresh haircut last week and went from long length to spikes. Now, everyday I straighten my hair with a straightener, then use the gel spray to hold my hair spikes stiff, and finally apply hair get on sides to finish off. It makes my hair look like that of Duke Nukem. Am I overdoing it? Will it make my hair fall off early? Will it affect its volume and thickness etc? I'm really concerned? Please helpI use a lot of hair styling products. Am I overdoing it?
First off all yes hair products can damage hair more than repair it heres what you need a daily shanpoo and conditioner. Use it everyday! conditioner detangles your hair. Now before you straighten your hair use a hair product that protects it from heat. (wal mart basically anywhere) Hair gels okay people use it every day its approved for you hair for a good reason. But dont over doo gel! Get a trim every 8 weeks. If you dye your hair to much it will dry it out and fall out someyimes! Hope that helps a bit.I use a lot of hair styling products. Am I overdoing it?
yes it will affect your hair and YOU STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY! that is dangerous sweetie... that is chemicals i am african american and i don't straighten my hair every day i go get it perfessionally done every 6-8 weeks so need 2 do more research and stuff cuz you could damage your skull as well.

  • A few question involving hair styling products, hygiene, and hair follicles?

    1.

I used to dye my hair alot, I stopped until on day I realized that I was going a bit bald on the sides of my hair. So I stopped dying it and let my hair stay natural for quite a while. And my hair is back to normal, but it still looks a little bald. I think its because all the hair products, and dyes that burned my follicles off. Is it possible to heal them, so I can have my hair back to normal?

    2.

How can I style my hair, (emo like) without using much hair product?

I was thinking about using a full head toupee when I grow up just so I wont damage my hair in the future, and hair implants don't look good, it makes your hair look ugly.

ps: no, I am not emo... ...

    3.

I was thinking about this hair washing routine.

Weekends: Right before the weekend beggins, I will wash my hair, and then I wont wash it on the weekends, on mondays and fridays, I will wash my hair with just Shampoo, thuesdays, and thursdays, I will just rinse my hair clean and not use shampoo, on wednesdays I will shampoo and condition. Would this be helpful?

I got this idea because Ive seen really dirty smelly people in the streets, and they almost always have thick nice hair. While hygienicnic people seem a little bald. So I don't want to use much shampoo and conditioner, yet being hygienic about it.

A few question involving hair styling products, hygiene, and hair follicles?
I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and I open just rinse it thoroughly with water, because washing it more makes my hair dry and hard to style. I think the natural oils produced by hair are good for it and we remove them much too often.

Hopefully you receive a better answer, though.

Who know's their hair styling products enough to help me?

I want a new curling iron for my birthday, which takes place next month. So I'm looking into some of the higher end ones because my revlon iron died after 6 months, the conair after a year, and the bedhead fried my hair. I want a curling iron that won't do alot of damage, will give me great looking, big, loose curls, and won't break before I get plenty of use out of it.

Should I get an Enzo Milano, Ginalli Milano, or Jose Eber curling iron?

If possible please give me some of the highlights of the effects of the curling iron you reccomend, and details as to why you reccomend it?Who know's their hair styling products enough to help me?
I don't know brands, but I do know that if you want minimal damage, make sure it is adjustable by temperature (not numbers, like 1,2...) so you can use the lowest heat setting possible and still get the curls. Also, use a styling product that is heat activated. Good luck on getting an answer about the curler.
