Help With Hair Iron ~ Urgent?

Do we have to apply anything on hair before we use flat iron, or is it o.k to straighten it with a ceramic iron after washing hair and drying it completely?


N.B :- Will hair products form residue on the flat iron?

You can do either one. The intense heat can damage your hair, and they have great products that can protect your hair before you style it. There is a product called Bumble and Bumble Styling Lotion--You spray a small amount on before you blow-dry and straighten it. This is great because you have the benefit of a protecting product, but it is dried into the hair after blow-drying, so residue won't be present on the iron following use.

I agree with all the answers too!


For me I use a little bit of hair protector that is like an oil. It helps to smooth any fly aways and doesn't leave any residue.
How is this urgent? Anyway I agree with the first person who answered. Shes right.
i wash %26amp; dry my hair completely, everyday. then i straighten it. it works fine. and hair products will leave residue.. and the straightener wont work as well. good luck =D
