Hair styling products.?

So my prom is may 9th..


yeah close. well i am trying to think of a hairstyle..


i dont want to get it professionally done, because it would be a waste of money considering my hair is a little too short to actually do anything with it.. its like a little above my shoulders.. soo yeah..





well anyways i want to do it myself..





so i was thinking a little curly//wavy and then it pulled back in the middle.. like.. uhhhh lauren conrad from the hills wears/used to wear hers..





what kind of hair products do you think i should buy in order to make the curls/waves stay long?





and if that fails, then im just oging to straighten my hair..


what products do you think i should use for my hair to stay straight.. my hair is already straight by it kinda goes which ever way at the ends..





ANY HELP? SUGGESTIONS? TIPS?

If you're going to be curling your hair with an iron for the curl, you can spritz each section with hairspray right before you curl it. Always let curls set and cool before messing with them. Once all your curls are in place, spray again with hairspray to set them. If you want the curls to stay really curly, don't brush or comb them out, pick them apart with your fingers. Good luck.
