well, some do some dont.
you have to check the voltage and make sure its'110-240' if it is then its safe to use oversees and all you will need is an adapter for the socket to plug it in.Will a US hair iron work in the UK?
You can get a converter plug but the main issue is the voltage, it needs to have a voltage range from ';110-240v';, it will say this on the straighteners.
Make sure that it has that voltage range before you plug them in because if it only takes 110v (the voltage in the USA) it will just burn them out if you plug them into a 240v socket. Will a US hair iron work in the UK?
Should do, with a voltage adapter (cheap as chips on eBay).
Mains electricity is higher here in the UK @ 240V, compared to 110/120V in the US.
Stepping down like this isn't usually a problem.
Jay.
The person who wrote about the voltage adapter is absolutely right. I fried my hair straightner when I was in Italy by just plugging it into an outlet converter without a voltage adapter. It was a very expensive straightner too!
Straighteners?
yes if you use an universal adapter.(for the plug socket)
no because the electrical sockett.
Um, yes, definitely.
Why wouldn't it?
uhh yea if they have outlets they would...that was kind of a dumb question sorrry
