NO NOT ON WET HAIR!!
What kind of flat iron did you get? Did you spend over $100? If so you probably got a good one. It should have a setting up as high as 400. If not and you spent less than $100, your going to be disappointed:o( Take it back. Most of the better brands and higher end straighteners, have curved edges to protect your hair and help get a smother look.
Blow drying your hair completely and pulling as you dry will help give you a smoother look. Using a thermal spray will also protect and help withn a smooth finish. It is not a must to blow dry your hair before using a flat iron but it helps!
I hope I helped GOOD LUCK!!Hair Iron straightener question?Plz Help?
Hi, I use straightening irons every day, and have done for 4 years now. The ones I use are GHD's.
You can only use irons on wet hair if you buy the specific irons (e.g. Remmington Wet2Straight) otherwise you will have to blow dry your hair first.
Before blowdrying, I apply a heat protective cream (Loreal Hot Straight) to damp hair, then blow dry.
When dry, I separate my hair into small sections or layers and lightly spray on some heat protective spray (any will do) and run the straighteners through your hair, preferably only once. Repeat for each section.
After, have some hair serum and apply a very small amount into your hands and rub your hands together, apply to hair, epecially concentrating on the front and ends.
I know this sounds like a lot of faffing about but I've been doing this for years, as well as bleaching my hair, and it is still in really good condition =)
Hope this helped x
Do not use on wet hair.
While your hair is damp I would put a serum on it. I love Paul Mitchell Skinny serum, but any one from a drug store will do. Just a few drops though, you don't want it to look oily.
You can let it dry naturally or blow dry, your choice. Remember: heat styling does damage hair.
Make sure you are using small sections of hair while straightening.
Start from the bottom of your hair(nape area) and work your way up.
Well, you could use it on wet hair, BUT! it would pretty much fry it!! My tips would be to:
1. Blow dry your hair (defuser optional)
2. Separate you crown and the bottom half of your hair and straighten the bottom first
3. Unclip your crown and separate it into two parts and straighten on section at a time
GoOd LuCk!!! :)
Right NO you cant you it on wet hair you need to by a wet to dry striaghtner for that even then that only means damp, and you should you heat protector (: and you dont need to blowdry before using it only if you hair is wet or damp (: xx
