Don't ask why. It was just the subject of a stupid random conversation born of meandering thoughts and ADD. I want to know when the hair straightener, as known today, was invented. Also, when did girls use a clothes iron to do the same thing.When was the hair iron invented?

don't know for sure, but i would guess a flat iron came sometime after the hair crimper, probably in the 80's.


people used to use the crimper to flatten hair
i think in the 1800's....
in the early 1800's i guess they usually use forks.
