My hair iron is too hot? what should I do?

I just bought a new JML hair iron (which is good because even though it's cheap, I read a lot of good reviews about plus it did make my hair smoother and softer! I don't know why)





but the thing is.. it becomes too hot sometimes if plugged in.. I am new at hairstyling myself so it really takes me sometime to get it almost right. well, I know it does becomes too hot because after I just slid the iron to my hair, my hair becomes untouchable because of hotness! I am not even sure if this normal (i've seen videos of people tutoring about hair and their irons are steaming too but they can still touch their hair!)





I can't seem to find the adjustment button, and it says it automatically adjust the heat itself.





what should I do everytime I am using it? should I plug it after about 10 minutes of using it then plug it again about 5 minutes then so on..?





also, the people who sold me this (from a mall, they were demonstrating this product) told me I don't need any sprays (those anti heat something) to use this because they assure me it won't cook my hair unless I ironed it wet.. are they telling me the truth?My hair iron is too hot? what should I do?
Be on the safe side and use the sprays so it does not damage the hair.

well u could always plug it in, wait for it to get hot and then unplug it and let it cool a little but still hav it hot enough:)
i think thats pretty normal...i mean if its too hot then use some sort of comb of brush to pick up your hair again :)
Just buy another one before you fry your hair.
