i have a conair flat iron. it was relativity cheap and works great!
Hair irons will only be as good as the person using them so maybe you should get some hints and tips from your hairdresser and magazines.

The best irons are GHD ones but the price is very high I'm sure you can get good results with yours you just need some tips on how to use them effectively
