First things first - make sure your hair is completely dry before you straighten, or the humidity will just curl it back up again. Second, it's useful to use a bit of serum or other product to protect your hair and help it stay straight. Finally, when I straighten my hair, i use a clip to hold it all on top of my head - I start by straightening a small thin section around the bottom of my hair, then gradually release more hair. If you continue like this all the way to the top, doing small sections at a time, it should work out properly. How to use hair iron?
The best ones are made out of ceremic...better for your hair. Wash hair, blow dry straight, then hot iron it...leave on no longer than 20-30 seconds on each section of hair. Also use some straightener lotions. Good luck and have fun~
You can use a product like Studio Line Hot Straight before you
use your straightener, clip your hair up, like in 3 or 4 layers, then start straightening hair at the back. For curly hair you have to put your hair iron on a higher temperature.
At one time i had my hair straightened and i had used a hot iron on my hair about 3 times when you use this it really drys out your hair i will never do that again i tried it and I'm done it takes all of the moisture of of your hair and drys it out bad and if you don't do it right you can burn your hair don't do it it took me some time to get my hair back to normal my hair looks alot better and healthier now there is a straightener you can get a the beauty supply store that will straighten your hair try that i would take it back it won't work good luck
Blow dry your hair as straight as you can first. If the temperature on the iron is adjustable, turn it up a bit. Apply a moisturizing product such as a light oil sheen spray or a light rub-in moisturizer to the hair before using the iron. Don't use too much or you'll fry your hair. Go over the hair with the iron a few times. If you can press the iron closed without burning yourself, that helps.
-Don't straighten it while its wet
-Take small sections of hair to get straighter hair
-Use a wide tooth comb
-Buy a heat activated spray or serum to protect hair from heat
-Straighten your hair only two ro three times a week
Okay, what u wanna do is making sure to brush out your hair and blow dry it as straight as you can get it (use a brush while drying it and constantly smooth it out and blowdry DOWNWARD not to add any extra body). Then when it's drying you wanna take smaller sections of hair (2 inches wide) and not very thick in depth and start at the root and clamp and smooth it down. Make sure you have the hair spread out evenly on the barrell of the iron tho'. u want the chunk of hair being straightened to lay flat and smooth.
you're probably going to want to put half of your hair up and do the bottom first....then do the top when ur done with that. doing it in layers ensures that you don't miss any!! It'll take some getting used to, and i promise it's not as complicated as it sounds!! Good luck
those cheap revlons aren't going to straighten your hair you need to buy a chi there expensive but there worth it.
Some Revlons are good, but Chi is by far the best!
First, blow dry your hair straight, using a brush. WHen it's dry, do a blast of cold on your hair. Your blow dryer should have that setting.
To straighten, make sure it's heated up first. What I do is divide my hair into 3's. I'll let down the bottom third, while clapming the rest on the top of my head. Take small sections, smooth it out with a brush, and clap the straighter at the root of your hair, gliding DOWN, always down. If the kincks don't seem to be working out, I use a cheap small tooth comb. Use the comb and the iron at the same time, the comb will seaperate the strands, while your iron is right behind it. Good luck
