Can I take a hair iron in my carry on bag on an airplane(delta)?

I am going from CT to Washington D.C, and I want to know if i can take a flat iron/hair straightener/hair iron on the plane in my carry on bag.





I would prefer people who have been in this situation answer.

You can bring it on the plane. Actually Delta is still one of the carriers that is not charging for checked bags.
