Best (and also affordable) styling hair iron?

I want to get a new styling iron but I do not wish to spend over $40 for one. I wanted to get the Infinity by Conair but some people say that that's not the best brand. So I was thinking of maybe getting a Revlon or a Vidal Sassoon one which they sell at CVS or Walgreens or Rite Aid. I kinda wanted the revlon the most but I wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks!Best (and also affordable) styling hair iron?
well first of all, you are not going to get a really good flat iron under $40. you would really want to spend $100+ for a good one.

but answering your question...

i have used one straightener that i was happy with and it was from conair, and only about $20!!!

i use a chi straightener that works great for me tho.. the cheapest i could find is about 80 dollars, but you will be totally satisfied, even though its twice your price you are looking for.Best (and also affordable) styling hair iron?
If you buy one under $40, you'll probably spend more on fixing it than the iron cost you. Your best bet is to save up for a quality iron (CHI, Paul Mitchell, Baby Bliss, ect.) so that way your hair doesn't receive that much damage. Prices with flat irons DO matter, the more you spend, the better quality of it. Anything under $50 usually is really bad for your hair.
I would recommend a solia. I got mine at folica.com for like $80. I know its more than you would like to spend but so worth it. I had a chi but it pulled my hair so i tried solia and fell in love.
