Looking to use hair iron in India?

Does anyone know a good brand/model I can use there?Looking to use hair iron in India?
buy a travelling iron which is good for various voltages and should work in most of the countries including India. Most of the irons have a safety mechanism where they shut down if there is a power surge. You can reset the iron using a button provided. I took one such iron to India and UK it worked perfectly fine. Otherwise buy an adaptor and use your iron. The final option is to buy one in India. You cannot go wrong buying a good brand in India, however may be more expensive than buying it hereLooking to use hair iron in India?
You're best off taking your own from home. Electronics in India are not all that inexpensive and there are a lot of fakes.

If you take yours and cannot find an adaptor for India, get a standard European adaptor. The two prongs on those will fit into either the middle two or bottom two holes in an Indian outlet. Check to see which set your adaptor fits best - it may change from one outlet to another.

If the electrical current is wavering (lights flickering up and down) don't use the iron. Power surges could damage the iron and even cause injury to you. Never leave the iron plugged in (even with the wall switch turned off) when you aren't using it. Oh... and don't be surprised if you get halfway through your hairstyle and the power cuts out. Just think of it as a whole new look!
