If i have curly hair should i get a wider plated or a thinner plated hair iron?

i am deciding between a thin plate(1';) or a wider plate (2';) i have longish curly hair. i may be cutting it relatively short soon. what would be the best for me?If i have curly hair should i get a wider plated or a thinner plated hair iron?
I would get a 1'; as it makes you have to use smaller sections to get them all perfectly straight. With a wider one, you're prone to putting a lot more hair in the flattner at one time, causing it to not smooth it out perfectly the first pass.If i have curly hair should i get a wider plated or a thinner plated hair iron?
if you're cutting it shorter probably the 1'; you should get a ceramic straightener because they cause less damage to your hair
i would say it probably depends on how tight the curls are and how thick your hair is.
